Rare Chinese embroidered silk robe end depicting curved stripes ending in rolling waves, ca. 1830. Possibly Jiaqing due to the color variations and intricacy. The use of imperial yellow throughout the work indicates a high rank for the individual to whom this robe belonged.

The published image is the paired piece, previously sold at Revere Auctions, March 21, 2023, Lot 20.

Minute holes from where the hem previously was along the lower edge. A few areas of wear to the embroidery. The work is floated in the frame. Some wear to the plexiglass; light wear to the frame.
