Philip Larson (American, 1944-2019). Block monoprint on paper titled "The Tile Floor (Geese in Flight)" depicting an abstract geometric scene in red and gold that resembles geese in flight, 1983. Pencil signed and dated along the lower right.
Unframed; height: 22 1/2 in x width: 29 in. Framed; height: 26 1/2 in x width: 34 in.
No visible tears, creases, or any visible signs of restoration under UV light. The paper is toned as shown in the listing image and it's floating on the frame; all four margins are visible. The color is bold and bright. To the upper left corner, there is a pinhole, original to the artistic practice. Along the gold areas, there are networks of minute losses against the frame; please see the listing image. Along the lower and upper margins, there is light wear that appears to be original to the artistic practice. To the center of the upper margin, there is a light brown mark. Under UV light, there are fluorescent areas along the upper margin; they appear to be from old framer's tape. Framed under plexiglass; not inspected out of frame. Very light wear to the frame.
