Large hand-knotted Persian rug or carpet, possibly Fereghan Sarouk. The deep blue central medallion is profusely decorated with branching floral designs over a red field with floral and geometric decorations. The navy corner spandrels with cream and blue geometric decoration, surrounded by a red primary border with a repeating floral motif and six narrow decorative guard borders.
