Percy (William Percy) French (Irish, 1854-1920). Watercolor painting titled "Connemara" depicting the vast landscape of western Ireland with a local residence seen in the central background surrounded by open fields with wild flowers and mountains even further in the distance. Signed in pencil along the lower left; titled in pencil along the lower right. Percy French was known as a Renaissance man for his many talents as a painter, illustrator, writer, banjo-player, opera composer, poet, songwriter, and overall entertainer.
