Percival Lafer (Brazillian, b. 1936). Mid-century modern MP-173 earth scoop lounge chair, "MP" standing for "moveis patenteados" or "patented furniture" in Portuguese. With ebony-hued leather upholstery and possibly jacaranda or rosewood body. There is a Percival Lafer label along the front of the chair as well as along the underside of the seat.
Height: 36 in x width: 31 1/2 in x depth: 30 1/4 in.
The chair appears structurally sound and stable. Wear to the leather including cracks and losses. There are some white accretions along the seat cushion. Some wear to the wooden frame including scuffs, scratches, discoloration, and a few dents. Some separation to the joints. Dust and dirt collected throughout.
