Warren MacKenzie was a renowned Minnesota studio potter. A student of Bernard Leach and Shoji Hamada, he is credited with bringing the functional Mingei tradition to the United States, and spreading it through his own art and mentorship of students during his long tenure at the University of Minnesota.Each, height 2 3/4 in x diameter: 5 in.
Condition
Overall there are no visible cracks, losses, or restorations. There is light crazing throughout, in particular along the interior of both items. There are minute losses to the glaze along the foot rim on both items. Light wear throughout consistent with age and use.
