Jean Prouve (French, 1901-1984) for Vitra International, Switzerland. Pair of Fauteuil de Salon lounge chairs with solid wood armrests, twill upholstery, and a tubular steel frame. Originally designed in 1939. Mid-century modern design with a contemporary feel. Vitra tag along the side of the seat. Plastic label affixed along the underside that reads "Fauteuil de Salon. Design: Jean Proube, 1939."
