Pair of Chinese Republic period silver candlesticks in the form of the mythological dragon turtle. The shells are decorated with turquoise and coral cabochons, surmounted by a carved jade insert as the candle holder. The shells are removable from the bodies of the dragon turtles which are decorated with an embossed design.
