Pair of Chinese early Qing Dynasty hardwood lanterns. The lanterns with scrolling floral relief carvings and white ovoid shades. The cloth and bamboo shades were made in the 20th century to replace an antique pair.

Provenance: Collection of Bruce Dayton & Ruth Stricker Dayton, Minnesota.

With shades; height: 15 in x diameter: 6 in.

Condition

Good condition; some wear and scratching consistent with use. Both lanterns are stripped of their original finish.
