Pair of large volumes numbered 6 and 9 housing the writings of the German theologian and reformer Martin Luther (1483-1546), published in 1662 and 1663. With embossed vellum binding featuring portraits of Martin Luther and Melanchthon, another Lutheran reformer. Luther was a significant figure of the Protestant Reformation in 16th century Germany.
