Jacob Jacobsen (Norwegian, 1901-1996) for Luxo ASA, Norway. Pair of L-1 model adjustable task lamps, first designed in 1937. The Luxo L-1 was designed by Jacobsen as a modified "Anglepoise" lamp.
(Fully extended, each) height: 40 in x diameter: 10 in.
Both lamps have been tested; both lamps are operational. There are no major bends, breaks, or losses to the lamps. Wear consistent with age and use including scuffs and scratches throughout, particularly along the bases and apex of the lamps. Accretions along the apex of the lamp near the knobs.
