One oversized gelatin silver print or original vintage press photographic reproduction from the archives of the Star Tribune depicting NASA astronaut Edward White in his moment of fame as the first American astronaut to walk in space, attached to the spacecraft with a short tether and umbilical. Edward White belonged to the Gemini 4 and Apollo 1 crews and is famous for the mission documented here where he accomplished a spacewalk at 17,500 mph while in orbit.

Provenance: From the archives of the Star Tribune, established over 150 years ago, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
