Noel Rockmore, born Noel Montgomery Davis, was a prolific artist, draughtsman, and sculptor. Changing his name in the middle of his career, he commuted between New York and New Orleans as the abstract expressionist movement gained momentum. Though he lived an often volatile lifestyle, he never stopped creating art, and is said to have created over 15,000 artworks in his lifetime.Sight; height: 13 in x width: 18 in. Condition
The drawing is in great condition with no visible tears, creases, or losses. The paper is toned and possibly has an acidic burn given that the mat is browned. When inspected under UV light, there is no visible sign of restoration. It is framed under plexiglass. Not inspected out of frame. Light wear to the frame.
