Mychael Barratt (Canadian, 20th/21st century). Etching on paper titled "The Reading Room" depicting the front hall of what is now the British Museum. However, it was first established in 1857 as the British Library, and housed the reading room frequented by distinguished visitors such as Oscar Wilde, Charles Dickens, Mark Twain, and Virginia Wolff. In this print, they are positioned in the same composition as Raphael's "School of Athens" painting. Numbered 21/100 in pencil along the lower left; titled in pencil along the lower center; and signed in pencil along the lower right. Included in the pictures is a key to the famous people rendered in this print. Sight; height: 28 1/4 in x width: 25 5/8 in. Framed; height: 32 3/8 in x width: 29 3/4 in.
