Miguel Contreras was born in Ahuelulco del Mercado, Jalisco, on April 15, 1942. He studied elementary school in his hometown at the same time as helping his family in the work of the countryside. At the age of 15 he moved to the city of Guadalajara and began his studies in painting and theater at the School of Plastic Arts of the University of Guadalajara, then School of Arts and Letters. During the four years of study, he also taught Art classes.

He has exhibited his painting identified as a customist, which he describes as "automatic with surrealist dyes and realistic magic, in the most important rooms in Mexico and in the United States. He formed an independent theater company and a puppet theater company with which he participated in the "Puppeteer of America International Festival" and toured the United States.

Condition

The painting is in excellent condition with no visible creases, rips, or restoration when inspected under UV light. The color is bold and bright. Very light wear to the frame.
