Massive pasteboard wallpaper decorated hat box or bandbox, ca. 1839. The wallpaper depicts peacocks in shades of green and gold, while the lid depicts a canal with a house in the background. Lined with newspapers from Boston in 1839. Similar in style to band boxes produced by Hannah Davis during this time period.
