Large round Royal Vienna porcelain plaque or cabinet plate, hand painted with a scene of Shakespeare speaking to Queen Elizabeth I, surrounded by elegant courtiers. Surrounded by a border of decorative scrolls and textured gilding. The plaque is housed in a giltwood rococo style frame. Marked with the Royal Vienna beehive mark along the verso and inscribed "Shakespeare am Hofe der Konigin Elisabeth von England." With an additional impressed mark.
