Large Japanese 20th c. Buddhist Butsudan shrine. With red and black lacquer along the exterior with profuse gilding along the interior. Carved throughout with phoenix, flora, and landscapes. Included are three libation cups.

Provenance: From the Estate of Horst Rechelbacher, Osceola, Wisconsin.
