Lance Kiland (American, 1947-2015). Oil on canvas painting titled "High Tower" depicting an abstract building, 1987. Signed, titled, and dated along the verso.
Lance Kiland was a local artist and teacher at North Hennepin Community College. He taught art and graphic design there for nearly 40 years before he passed of lymphoma in 2015. Throughout his life, he exhibited among many museums and galleries in the Twin Cities, Chicago, and New York.
Sight; height: 29 1/2 in x width: 23 1/4 in. Framed; height: 31 in x width: 25 in x depth: 2 in.
The colors are bold and bright and the surface is stable. There are no losses or restorations when examined under UV light. Light wear to the frame. Some light spots of discoloration along the verso of the canvas that do not affect the recto and may be original to the material.
