One gelatin silver print or original vintage press photographic reproduction from the archives of the Star Tribune depicting men mounting engines in the chassis assembly line for the first production line car by the Kaiser-Frazer Corporation. A label on the verso may date the photo to May 11, 1946 just eighteen days before the first automobile rolled off the assembly line. Kaiser-Frazer was the country's fourth largest automaker who designed cars in the immediate postwar era and offered convertibles, “utility†sedans, and taxi cabs.
