Brandt, Chicago, United States. Bowlback mandolin with mother of pearl fretboard and lovely inlaid back. Impressed "Pat May 15 . 94" along the tailpiece. Brandt label along the interior reads "Jno. Brandt, Maker, Chicago, Ill.; Pat. Oct. 1899, Brandt, Warranted; Wm. Lewis, Sole Agent, Chicago, Ill." Additional label along the interior reads "Style: D X; No: 6299." With leather case.
