John Anderson (American, 1923-1971). Oil on Masonite panel painting titled "The Tangerine Tree," depicting a still life reminiscent of the style of Georges Braque, 1964. Signed and dated along the upper left corner. Anderson spent most of his career in Minnesota, teaching at the Walker Art School in the 1950s and exhibiting at the Walker Art Center. His work was also featured in exhibitions at the Guggenheim and the Whitney.

Provenance: Distinguished Corporate Collection, Minnesota.

Condition

There are no visible tears, losses, or restorations when inspected under UV light. There are twelve pinholes along the extreme edges along all four edges, likely original to the artistic production. Light wear to the frame.
