Japanese Export Carved Armchair w/ Dragons

Chinese or Japanese export carved hardwood armchair. The back is profusely and intricately carved with a hawk and other small birds flying above clouds and sinuously intertwined dragons. The dragons extend from the back to become the arms of the chair. Each of the dragons have two shell and mother-of-pearl eyes. Their claws extend downward to the seat of the chair. With a pierced and carved skirt. The chair rests on four cabriole legs.
Height: 47 in x width: 31 1/2 in x depth: 22 3/4 in.
Condition
The chair is structurally sound and stable. All parts are attached; the right arm (if a person were sitting in the chair) is slightly loose in it's joints but is otherwise attached. There are no major losses. There are a few splits to the wood along the back of the chair which are not visible from the front. A few small chips throughout. There are a few losses to the shell eyes of the dragons. Light scratches and wear throughout. Dust collected along the recessed areas of the chair. Wear to the feet as expected from wear and use.
