Herbert Rosenthal (American, 20th c.) 18k yellow gold diamond bee pin or brooch. With a folding and locking pin closure, etched wings, and a cluster of 19 prong-set round brilliant-cut diamonds along the body of the bee. With a recent appraisal and a velvet-lined case. Rosenthal was at the forefront of the creation of bee pins when insect designs became popular in the 1960s. He became the exclusive designer for bee pins for Tiffany & Co.

Condition
The pin is in good condition and the pin is in working order. The gold body of the pin has a strong orange coloration, though this may be original to the piece. The diamonds measure 1.8 mm to 3 mm; total weight of .75 ct; good proportions and finish; color of F to G; clarity of VS-1 to VS-2.
