Henry Barraud (British, 1811-1874). Oil on board painting depicting a portrait of a stern woman, dressed in black with a collar around her neck, decorated with a tied blue ribbon. Signed and dated 1860 along the lower left. Housed in a gilt period frame with foliate grape applications along each corner. Unframed; height: 21 1/2 in x width: 18 1/4 in. Framed; height: 32 3/8 in x width: 29 3/8 in.
