Hasui Kawase (Japanese, 1883-1957). Modern Japanese shin-hanga woodblock print titled "Soemoncho District in Osaka (Nijon Fukei Shu)," depicting a lamplit nighttime street scene. Marked in the plate with Kawase's seal along the lower right. Marked in the right margin with the Watanabe publishing company's D seal, indicating the print was published between 1931-1941. With a further Japanese inscription to the lower margin.
