Harriet Bart (American, b. 1941). Mixed media work including one framed print on paper listing the elements contained in the small jars displayed alongside the work. Hand signed, titled, and dated 1992 along the underside of the wooden display block. The jars contain the following: lead is represented by small metal filings, fire is represented by matches, gold is represented by gold paint, poetry is represented by small cuttings of French poetry, pollen is represented by small balls of pollen, chalk is represented by vivid blue chalk dust, and iron is represented by nails.
