Gelatin silver print panoramic photograph depicting the grave of Chief Seattle in Washington, 1914. Captioned in negative along the lower edge "Grave of the Indian Chief Seattle, Suquamish, Washington, Aug. 25, 1914." There are some ink inscriptions along the lower right margin noting figures depicted in the image.
Provenance: From the Estate of Christopher Cardozo.
Height: 3 1/2 in x width: 12 in.
There are no significant creases, or losses. The sheet is toned. There is a repaired tear along the lower right corner; there is scotch tape affixed along the verso holding the tear together. There is also a minute tear along the center of the left edge. Light soiling throughout, particularly along the margins in addition to a brown stain along the lower left third.
