Benjamin Upton (American, 1818-1910). Group of seven cabinet card photographs--a set of nine with two missing--depicting St. Paul, Minnesota in 1857. Each titled "St. Paul in 1857, From roof of Court House. A set of nine picture No......." Each numbered in ink along the dotted line. With additional locations noted in ink along the lower edge of the photographs. All cards further numbered in ink along the upper right corner of the mat. Stamped along the verso "Published by E. A. Bromley, Minneapolis, from the original Upton negatives." and "Hill Reference Library St. Paul" along with a library catalog number in pencil.

Provenance: Collection of the James J. Hill Reference Library.
