Group of three Chinese amber snuff bottles; one of composite amber. The composite snuff bottle is carved in the form of a fish. One snuff bottle in the form of a sleeping horse with a wooden stand; the stopper is in the form of the horse's tail. One hallowed amber piece lacking a stopper.
Height ranges from 2 in to 2 5/8 in; width ranges from 1 3/8 in to 3 1/8 in; depth ranges from 1 1/8 in to 2 in. The snuff bottles are in generally good condition with no major chips, cracks, or dents. All items have wear throughout. The sleeping horse snuffle bottle, captured in the center in the lot listing, has an adhesive residue on the underside; there is a 1/2 inch long crack that is discolored dark along the back of the horse. The amber snuff bottle, captured left, misses the stick; it shows wear throughout the piece, particularly along the top. The fish snuff bottle, captured right, shows a restoration attempt with tape to its stick; there is glue residue along the lid. Please contact us for a detailed condition report.
