Group of two Inuit stone cut and stencil prints including:

Sarah Joe Qinuajua (Puvernituq (Inuit), 1917-1988) and one illegible Inuit artist. Stonecut and stencil print depicting a procession of hunters with two children on a sled, 1979. Pencil signed in Inuktitut and English. Signed and dated along the lower right; titled along the lower left to center; numbered 49/50 along the lower left.

Lucassie Nutaraluk and Leah Ammitu (Inuit, 20th/21st c). Stonecut and Stencil titled "Men Pulling Walrus on Thin Ice" depicting a group of hunters, 1980. Pencil signed in Inuktitut and English. Pencil titled and numbered 34/40 along the lower left; titled along the lower center; dated and inscribed illegibly along the lower right.

Brown frame; sight; height: 7 3/4 in x width: 10 3/4 in. Framed; height: 13 3/4 in x width: 16 3/4 in. Black frame; sight; height: 14 in x width: 20 1/2 in. Framed; height: 22 in x width: 28 1/4 in.

Condition

No visible tears, creases, losses, or restoration under UV light. The color is bold and bright. The smaller piece has light foxing throughout the recto; it appears the sheet is affixed to the mat along the left margin with the framer's tape, assuming from the impression from the verso- not inspected out of frame. The bigger piece has three minute accretions to the center of the left margin, which appear to be original. Both are framed under plexiglass. Very light wear to the frame.
