Group of ten 20th-century Inuit carved stone sculptures depicting figures and animals by artists including: Lucassie Amm, Lucassie Kumarluk, Joe Pootoogook, and Adamie Ashevak. Several signed along the base.Height ranges from 2 in to 9 1/2 in. Width ranges from 2 1/2 in to 11 in. Depth ranges from 1 in to 7 in.
Condition
The carvings are in good condition in general. All items have wear and cracks throughout; however, given that the carvings are stone, they do not affect the overall work. The female figure has a loss along the back, measuring 1/4 inch. The felt attached along the underside of the large head carving is not fully glued to the underside - half is detached. Wear to the underside, consistent with age and use. Some carvings have adhesive residue to the underside. No sign of restoration under UV light.
