Greek Orthodox Christian polychrome wooden triptych, 18th-19th century. Depicting Mary and the infant Christ along the center panel flanked by archangels and saints in the side panels and doors.
Closed; height: 12 1/2 in x width: 9 in x depth: 3/4 in. Open; height: 12 1/2 in x width: 16 1/2 in x depth: 3/4 in. Heavy wear throughout, as shown in the listing image. Dust collected to the surface. There are multiple areas that lost paint throughout the item; please see the listing image. The two doors are not attached. Two doors show a slight color difference when closed- the right door is slightly darker. There is a minute loss to the baby Jesus' cloth. There is a loss to the wooden panel to the lower inner side of the right door, measuring 2 inches. Crack to the upper back, 2 1/4 in. Wear to the back; see the listing image.
