Gustav Pedersen (1895-1972) for Georg Jensen (1866-1935). Sterling silver bowl with rounded rim, raised on paired foliate legs on a flared base with a stepped rim. Impressed with the designer's mark "Dessin GP." for Gustav Pedersen along the underside. Further marked "Georg Jensen" within a dotted circle, "Denmark. Sterling.," and numbered "584 A" along the underside.

Gustav Pedersen began working for Georg Jensen's workshop in 1915 where his talent was quickly recognized. He was appointed foreman of the hollowware department in 1917. Throughout his time with the workshop he primarily focused on hollowware, though he did create some designs for jewelry made by the silversmith's workshop. He retired in 1965 from the company and passed in 1972.
