Fritz Eichenberg (German/American, 1901-1990). Wood engraving on paper titled "Subway," 1934, depicting a group of exhausted figures in a subway car. Pencil signed along the lower center; titled and inscribed "ed. 200" along the lower left. This artwork is an excellent example of Eichenberg's social realist style.
