Friends is an iconic sitcom featuring six lovable characters living in the same apartment complex in New York City where they face life and love together in comic situations that capture the spirit of the 1990s. The Friends series finale was watched by 52.5 million viewers, making it the most-watched television episode of the 2000s.
Friends received acclaim throughout its run, becoming one of the most popular television shows of all time, receiving sixty-two nominations Primetime Emmy Awards and ranking no. 21 on TV Guide's 50 Greatest TV Shows of All Time. Countless references and homages it has inspired over the years continue to reveal the impact of “Friends†on today's popular culture.
