French old Paris Sevres style porcelain box or casket with a hinged lid. The lid decorated with a hand painted scene of two young lovers lounging by a lake surrounded by ornate gilt scrollwork on a deep cobalt blue (beau bleu) ground. The sides with gilt floral swag accents. The hinged lid reveals painted floral bouquets along the inside of the lid and box. With a Sevres mark along the underside indicating a date of 1756.
