French Sevres style porcelain cabinet plate decorated with a portrait of Mademoiselle Elizabeth, sister to King Louis XVI (r. 1774-1792). She is surrounded by floral bouquets on an uneven turquoise blue (blue celeste) ground. With a Sevres mark along the verso indicating a year of 1773 and that the plate is hard paste porcelain. Further inscribed "Mme Elisabeth" and with a Sevres mark. Housed in an ornate crest-style giltwood frame.
