European ram's horn sled with remarkable ram horns details fitted with bronze or brass end caps. These sleds are sometimes known as gasslschlitten.
Height: 16 in x width: 33 in x depth: 16 in. The sled is structurally sound and stable. There is wear throughout the sled consistent with age. All pieces are firmly attached. Along the top of the sled there are two major splits to the wood and there are three smaller splits. There are scratches and wear throughout. The round dowel along the front of the sled appears to have been replaced, there is a small restoration where one end of the dowel attaches to the frame. All metal components are tarnished and show wear, consistent with age and use. To one of the large horns on the front of the sled, there is one large fracture near the tip. To the other horn there is a large repaired crack that has nailed together near the base. To the smaller horns there are cracks and splits throughout.
