Edwardian diamond circle brooch/pendant. Main element formed as a radiating filigree circle with a central old European cut diamond surrounded by a circle of eight rose cut diamonds, then four more surrounding circles with 16 rose cute diamonds each, another circle of eight, and a final circle of 16, for a total of 96 rose cut diamonds. The diamonds all set in a network of delicate of silver topped 14k yellow gold filigree. Each clasp element can be screwed on and off (see image). The removable bale features four rose cut diamonds. On a sterling cable chain, with spring clasp closure. Marked sterling at the clasp. Clasp and chain appear to be from a similar period as main pendant. With fitted antique box.
Chain length: 18 1/2 in. Pendant diameter: 44.23 mm. Gross weight: 15.7 grams.
