After retiring from the University of Wisconsin-Stout, Douglas Cumming, a former Professor of Art, moved to Germany where he now lives and works.

The surface is stable, and the color is bold and bright. There is a minute accretion to the center of the right margin. There is a minute paint mark to the center of the painting, most likely original. There are two minute brown paints to the left shoulder, most likely original.
