Dion Pears (British, 1929-1985). Oil on canvas painting depicting three Formula One cars engaging in a race. The cars are backed by a crowd of fans in front of a large forest. Signed along the lower left.

Condition
There is craquelure throughout including spiral cracks with accompanying indents to the canvas from impacts. Several larger cracks along the upper margin in the tree line: the largest cracks measure 11 inches, 5 inches, and 9 inches in length, respectively. Networks of yellow-brown accretions throughout. Yellowed varnish throughout. Some surface marks/scuffs. Foxing to the verso, visible in the lot listing. Wear to the extreme edges. The work is not framed.
