Desideria Montoya Sanchez (American (San Ildefonso), 1889-1982). Southwest Native American San Ildefonso Pueblo blackware pottery vase, signed "Desideria" along the underside. Desideria was the sister of Maria Martinez (1887-1980) who is internationally recognized for her pottery. This choice pot was likely hand made by Maria and decorated by Desideria. Height: 3 1/4 in x diameter: 5 in.
