Chris Roberts-Antieau (American, b. 1950). Embroidered textile art composition titled "Conga Line" depicting a line of figures performing a line dance, 2003. In a hand-painted frame. Titled and signed along the center of the lower frame; further signed, titled, and dated along a label affixed to the verso. Chris Roberts-Antieau is a fiber artist based in Michigan. She characterizes her work as "embroidered tapestries", composed of fabric applique, thread painting, and hand embroidery.
Sight; height: 16 1/4 in x width: 57 1/4 in. Framed; height: 21 1/2 in x width: 63 1/2 in.
No signs of stains, loose threads, rips, or repairs. The textile is floated in frame. Light wear to the frame; framed under glass; not inspected out of frame.
