A lovely early Chinese Han Dynasty or Warring States bronze sword with elaborate decorative patterns along both sides of the guard. This decoration likely indicates the noble status of the owner. The gold pommel tests as 20k with a KeeGold Tester.
Sword; Length: 20 in x depth: 2 in. Pommel; weight: 15.41 dwt

The bronze sword is in generally good condition given its age. There is heavy wear and oxidation throughout; there are some losses to the edge of the blade. There is no visible losses to the pattern in the guard, although there is one minute chip to the side of it. The point is sharp. When inspected under UV light, there are no other signs of restoration. The gold pommel has light wear to the interior. Please contact us for a detailed condition report. Please note that the lack of a condition statement does not imply perfect condition. Email with any condition questions.
