Chinese Straits Peranakan porcelain famille rose pouring vessel (kendi) with a long neck and flared rim with an ovoid body. Decorated on two sides with a quatrefoil medallion depicting a landscape with a bridge over a river surrounded by floral motifs including pink peonies.
Height: 9 in x diameter: 6 in. The vase is in good condition overall with no major cracks, chips, or losses. There is a chip to the underside of the rim, which measures 1 inch. Throughout, there are a few areas with firing flaws. There is a restoration attempt to a small spout. There are a few scattered areas that lost enamel. Wear throughout as expected. Along the underside and the footrim, there are areas with cracks that are discolored dark. Below the footrim, there is a line of discoloration, possibly original firing flaw.
