Charles Beck (American, 1923-2017). Oil on canvas abstract painting, 1960. Signed along the lower right; signed and dated along the verso. In the 1940s Beck studied under Cyrus Running at Concordia College in Moorhead. Later he would study under Cameron Booth, Walter Quirt and Malcolm Meyers at the University of Minnesota.

Condition
There is craquelure throughout the work along with several spiral cracks. There is wear along the extreme edges of the work along with long lines of paint accretions that seem to match the color of the original frame. Light soiling to the verso that does not seem to affect the recto. The artwork is loose in the frame. Wear to the frame and small losses to the paint.
