Carol Summers (American, 1925-2016). Woodcut print tiled "Vasudeva Carries the Infant Krishna Across the Yamuna River, Further Upstream" depicting an abstract composition in blue, white, and green, 1996. From an edition of 75. Pencil signed along right margin. Summer's works are known for their soft, painterly quality with bleeding edges and jewel toned prints. He is additionally known for having trained with Louis Schanker and his works are held in the collections of the Whitney, the Victoria & Albert Museum, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and MoMA.
