Cameron Booth (American, 1892-1980). Acrylic on linen painting titled "Vertical" depicting an abstract scene in lively tones including yellow, red, blue, brown and olive green. Initialed and dated along the lower left margin. Further signed, dated April 26, 1958, inscribed "Berkeley, Calif," and titled along the verso. With a label from Dayton's Gallery 12 along the verso; with a loan label from the Minneapolis Institute of Art (L58.459) along the verso.

Condition

The colors are bold and bright and the surface is stable. There are no rips, tears, losses, or restorations when inspected under UV light. There are a few small losses to the paint layer along the extreme edges. Light wear along the edges along the exposed canvas. The work is not framed. Light wear to the verso.
