Ben Johnson (American, 1902-1967). Oil on canvas painting titled "My Point of View" depicting a nude woman from behind, 1966. Signed along the lower right; dated along the lower left. The recto with a label from Gallery Dache, New York.
Unframed; height: 36 in x width: 24 in. Framed; height: 37 in x width: 25 in x depth: 1 1/2 in.

The colors are bold and bright. The surface is stable. There is soiling and discoloration throughout the figure's hair. There are stretcher bar marks along the lower edge. There is craquelure throughout, in particular along the lower half of the torso of the figure and three spiral cracks. There are faint spots of discoloration along the left edge of the figure. There are areas that fluoresce under UV light but due to the nature of the work it is difficult to discern if it is inpainting or original to the art. Along recto there are missing canvas keys in lower and upper right corner.
